I think that the second price package is great. Also, all the moderators and forum supporters on here should get free membership for life for helping to develop PH, and betas could get it a month free. Smile

I thought we agreed on 2 year terms for betas.

I would probably think that before trying to charge membership, it would be a good idea to develop the game first as then the value of membership would vary depending on how good the game and membership features are.

I personally think that if you could attract more players to the game, perhaps through google or something similar, then it would be successful.

The number of members would probably make quite a big difference. For example a lot more people would be prepared to pay $2 than $4. It could be more than double.

Currently for the amount of features, realistically speaking I think a lot of people would only be prepared to pay $2 per month if that.

Then again, if we have people pay for this, we will have to have an address for all the money to go to, and someone organized to file all the money.

Googlebot is a slow crawler from what I've heard. It should show up eventually, if you stick with one site like the www.penguin-hut.net one.

By the original using google comment, I was referring to Google Ad Sense, but good rankings in search engines helps.

Personally, I think anti-hacking software should come later, although there isn't much that can actually do anything. Packet editors like WPE are hard to catch with experienced hackers. Server-side coding and validation would help to solve that problem more.

In terms of professionality, although it is nice, sometimes amateur work can suffice for most projects.

General

I think the website could do with a little work. Using flash for the entire website is unusual, although it might work if it felt more organised.

Perhaps, to try to make it seem like the website and forums are linked. Either by using phpBB3 or vBulletin. (I'd go for phpBB3 as it's free, fairly easy to use and has customised mods etc). Either that or you could use this one, but perhaps do a page that has this site in a frame, not perfect but could make the website more predominantly used.
